Rules
AMERICA’S INSPIRATIONAL MISS (AIM) 2021 RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1. ACCEPTING A STATE OR REGIONAL TITLE IS A COMMITMENT TO ATTENDING THE NATIONAL FINALS AND ACKNOWLEDGES ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR PAYMENT OF FEES. ALL FEES, PHOTO, AND PAPERWORK DEADLINES MUST BE MET IN ORDER TO REMAIN IN GOOD STANDING AND ATTEND PARTIES AND WORKSHOPS.
2. ALL FEES PAID TO AIM ARE NON REFUNDABLE. NO REFUNDS ARE PROVIDED FOR ANY REASON.
3. AIM RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE DATE, LOCATION, AND COMPETITION DETAILS OF THE NATIONAL PAGEANT AT IT’S DISCRETION.
4. ANYONE HOLDING A NATIONAL TITLE FOR ANOTHER PAGEANT SYSTEM WITH A NO COMPETE CLAUSE MAY NOT COMPETE WITH AIM UNTIL THEY COMPLETE THEIR OBLIGATION TO SAID SYSTEM OR GET WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THEIR CURRENT NATIONAL DIRECTOR.
5. NATIONAL WINNERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A TITLE HOLDER CONTRACT ABIDING BY OUR RULES AND REGULATIONS.
6. CONTESTANTS AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS GIVE PERMISSION FOR PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TAKEN AT AIM EVENTS TO BE USED FOR PROMOTIONAL AND PUBLICITY PURPOSES IN PRINT AS WELL AS ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
7. AIM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PRIZES FORFEITED BY SPONSORS.
8. ALL OUTSTANDING BALANCES MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO ATTENDING AND COMPETING AT THE NATIONAL PAGEANT.
9. PRIZES WILL BE DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT THE NATIONAL WINNER’S REIGN AND MAY NOT ALL BE AVAILABLE THE WEEKEND OF THE NATIONAL PAGEANT.
10. ALL CONTESTANTS MUST BE A NATURAL BORN FEMALE. ONLY CONTESTANTS IN THE MS. OR MRS. DIVISIONS MAY HAVE BEEN MARRIED OR HAD A CHILD.
11. MANDATORY EVENTS FOR DIVISIONS BABY TO LITTLE MISS ARE FORMAL WEAR, FASHION WEAR, PHOTOGENIC, AND YOUR HIGHEST SCORING OPTIONAL.
MANDATORY EVENTS FOR DIVISIONS PRE-TEEN TO MRS. ARE FORMAL WEAR, FASHION WEAR, INTERVIEW, PHOTOGENIC, AND HIGHEST SCORING OPTIONAL. EACH EVENT WILL BE WEIGHTED EQUALLY.
OPTIONAL COMPETITION EVENTS WILL BE JUDGED BY A DIFFERENT SET OF JUDGES AND HAVE NO BEARING ON THE FINAL OUTCOME OF THE NATIONAL PAGEANT.
IN THE EVENT OF A TIE YOUR HIGHEST SCORING OPTIONAL WILL BE USED.
12. JUDGES WILL BE CAREFULLY SELECTED BY NATIONAL DIRECTORS AND ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL. CONTESTANTS AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS MAY NOT APPROACH JUDGES AT ANY TIME DURING THE NATIONAL PAGEANT, DOING SO WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION.
13. IN THE EVENT OF A TIE, THE SCORE FROM YOUR HIGHEST SCORING OPTIONAL (BABY-LITTLE MISS) OR INTERVIEW (PRETEEN-MRS.) WILL DETERMINE THE OUTCOME.
14. ANY CONTESTANT OR PARENTS/GUARDIAN ACKNOWLEDGES THAT PROVIDING FALSIFIED INFORMATION TO AIM WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION.
15. ALL CONTESTANTS IN THEIR DIVISIONS (12 & UNDER) MUST HAVE ONE AND ONLY ONE ADULT CHAPERONE WITH THEM AT ALL TIMES FOR REHEARSALS AND DINNERS AT THE PAGEANT. ALL CHAPERONES WILL BE GIVEN AN ARMBAND. ONLY CONTESTANTS OR GUARDIANS WITH ARMBANDS ARE PERMITTED FOR HAIR/MAKEUP. ANY CONTESTANT FOUND TO HAVE ANY OTHER FAMILY OR FRIENDS IN THE MAKEUP/HAIR ROOM COULD BE DISQUALIFIED. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, BESIDES CONTESTANTS AND NATIONAL STAFF, WILL BE ADMITTED BACKSTAGE AT ANY POINT DURING THE PAGEANT.
16. ALL CONTESTANTS, CHAPERONES, PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW ALL AIM RULES AND TREAT OTHERS WITH RESPECT AND COURTESY AT ALL TIMES. GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS ESSENTIAL AT ALL EVENTS. THE NATIONAL PAGEANT STAFF WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY BEHAVIOR THAT WOULD DAMAGE THE REPUTATION OF THE AIM SYSTEM OR ITS DIRECTORS, CONTESTANTS, AND STAFF. IF A CONTESTANT, PARENT/GUARDIAN, OR GUEST OF A CONTESTANT DOESN’T CONDUCT THEMSELVES PROPERLY OR DISRUPTS THE NATIONAL PAGEANT IT WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION.
17. ANY VALUABLES BROUGHT TO THE PAGEANT MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES. AIM DIRECTORS AND STAFF WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE TO DAMAGE OR LOSS OF PROPERTY THAT MAY ARISE. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTESTANT OR ADULT CHAPERONE TO ENSURE THAT ALL PROPERTY IS SUPERVISED THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
18. ANYONE CAUGHT DAMAGING PROPERTY OF ANOTHER CONTESTANT OR CAUGHT STEALING PROPERTY FROM ANOTHER CONTESTANT WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED.
19. ALL REHEARSALS PAGEANT WEEKEND ARE MANDATORY, NO EXCEPTIONS! YOU MUST BE ON TIME AND PRESENT WHEN CALLED FOR.
20. ANYONE REPRESENTING AIM MAY NOT ENGAGE IN THE USE OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES WHILE WEARING SASHES, CROWNS, OR LOGO WEAR. ANY CONTESTANT BREAKING THE LAW OR BEING CHARGED WITH A CRIME WILL BE IMMEDIATELY RELIEVED OF THEIR AIM TITLE.
21. IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE AT AIM NATIONALS YOU MUST BE A LEGAL CITIZEN OF THE US OR ONE OF THE US TERRITORIES.
22. AIM IS A GLAM PAGEANT AND DOES ALLOW MAKE UP , TANNING, AND GLAMOUR TO CONTESTANTS OF ALL AGES. HOWEVER, AIM IS NOT A GLITZ PAGEANT. ALL MAKE UP SHOULD BE KEPT AGE APPROPRIATE AND TANNING SHOULD BE NATURAL. THERE WILL BE NO PROPS OR ROUTINES ALLOWED ON STAGE AT ANY TIME.
23. CONTESTANTS IN THE AGE DIVISIONS PRETEEN-MRS. WILL PARTICIPATE IN INTERVIEW AND MUST PROVIDE A RESUME IN ADVANCE SO THE JUDGES CAN BE FAMILIAR WITH EACH CONTESTANT. ALL CONTESTANTS TEN AND UP WILL ENTER THE INTERVIEW ROOM ALONE. ALL INTERVIEWS WILL BE PANEL STYLE WITH 4 JUDGES.
24. ANYONE ACCEPTING A STATE OR REGIONAL TITLE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE RULES AND REGULATIONS SET FORTH BY AIM NATIONAL DIRECTORS AND AGREE TO FOLLOW ALL RULES AT ALL TIMES.
25. DEDUCTIONS WILL BE MADE ACCORDING TO THE RULES. THE DIRECTORS WILL COME TO YOU PERSONALLY BEFORE ANY DEDUCTIONS ARE TO BE MADE.
